I have been waiting for over a month for a missing item in order # 159874 as well as many inquiries which to date have not been replied by Stein Mart or anybody else.

I've been waiting over a month for replacement of a shattered item. I got an initial auto-reply that my request (388294) was received and it was taking longer than usual due to Christmas. I have made 3 inquiries since then asking about the status of the replacement without a response. Absolutely horrible customer service and very unhappy that you can't just call and speak to someone who can process the request while you are on the phone like normal companies.
I'm ready to report to Better Business because they do not respond. At this point I just want a refund so I can be done with Stein Mart once and for all.

Received 7 or 8 different requests from them but so far no contact from anyone, very crooked way of conducting business.
I contacted Better Business bureau and they determined case not pursuance because business is closed;however I receive emails on daily basis about online “sales.” I ordered item in November 2022 and didn’t receive. Numerous emails to “customer support” with auto replies and no response or refund. “Still processing????” Buyer Beware is all I can say..

SteinMart's brick and mortar stores are closed but they were purchased by Retail ecommerce ventures which runs Steinmart.com. They also purchased and run online versions of Pier1, Linens & Things, Radio Shack, Dress Barn and even Franklin Mint! Buyer beware, as you say.

As of today (Feb. 22, 2023), Rania El-Sherif is the supervisor of customer service for the Steinmart portion.
I also sent a "new" request regarding my issue and got the same canned email response in late February that I did the week after Christmas. Just another crooked business as far as I can tell.
They were not in BBB's directory but I have requested them to be added so that those of us who know where to make their complaints can do so. I might even send a certified letter to Rania El-Sherif
If you check their website they seem to only be interested in getting people to help buy these failing companies but not in actually running the businesses.

You are right on point. I did some research as well and see you that you are sharp and dug deeper. I can count my unfulfilled purchase as a loss. Jipped and eyes opened to Shady dealings going on in America. My purchase amount was $70 and while I still expect a refund, I surmise this online presence of Stein Mart is as stated, another crooked business. Of course it won’t be long until this online shell version and connected entities sink. Whether karma is real or not, a legitimate business does not defraud customers! Wait on it…

I think that they just keep buying bankrupt companies so will keep going with they new ones without going under.
You may be right. Though it is unlikely that “we” are the only people who have same problem with unfulfilled or missing orders associated with these crooked shell companies.
Someone or people crazier than me, with time, may contact the consumer division of their State’s Attorney General’s office with complaint. If there are enough complaints, it could turn into a multi-state consumer action case : ) And who knows? I may find time🤓
The sad part is they are buying internationally. I know there are probably thousands of people who are in our position. Hopefully they will find this forum and now know how to reach the company or file with BBB
I placed an order 12/13/2022 and still have not received the order or a reply from Steinmart support (except the "...currently experiencing high volume of customer inquiries this holiday season..."). The holidays are over. A reply should be given on status of order delivery or the option to cancel and receive a refund as Steinmart already has received the payment. I have always loved to shop with Steinmart; hate to see this kind of poor service.
